  • Human Trafficking is modern slavery which exploits vulnerable men, women and children.
  • Trafficked people are used for various things from forced labour to prostitution.
  • According to www.freetheslaves.net there are between 10 – 30 million slaves in the world today.
  • It is estimated, that 2500 women are trafficked to Denmark each year. Though, the number is believed to be higher.
  • A majority of the trafficked women in Denmark are from Africa, followed by Asia, Europe and Latin America (CMM).
  • The majority of women who are trafficked to Denmark are involved in prostitution.
  • HopeNow has come across more and more trafficked men than ever before. Men are being trafficked to Denmark to do forced labour.
