About HopeNow

Our mission is simple: to proactively identify potential victims of human trafficking by engaging with affected communities, prisons, and asylum centres to locate individuals who may be trapped or vulnerable to exploitation and trafficking. We ensure they know about the support available to them from the Danish State.

Since 2011, HopeNow has been a respected partner in the Danish Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking. With a mandate spanning 3-4 years at a time, our close collaboration with the Center Against Human Trafficking (CMM) and the Department of Gender Equality ensures we fulfil our responsibilities under the Danish National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking 2022-2025. At HopeNow, we value transparency and accountability. That's why we diligently prepare annual status reports for the Ministry. These reports are thorough and cover our projects' progress, challenges, and goals. By sharing this information with the Ministry, we establish effective oversight, build trust, and encourage feedback.

To better combat trafficking, HopeNow actively engages with partner organizations such as CMM, Reden International, AmiAmi, and the Danish Red Cross Health Clinic, as well as international NGO platforms. Through national and international partnerships, we share knowledge, brainstorm strategies, and stay informed about current trends in human trafficking. This collaboration enhances our understanding of victim challenges and allows us to improve our assistance and support efforts continually.

HopeNow is only granted and relies on a vital 1.6% of the national yearly budget for the Action Plan 2022-2025 to sustain our operations. As a non-profit organization, our existence depends on the kind-hearted contributions of individuals, volunteers, donors, and grant givers who comprehend the significance of our mission. Their support enables us to equip trafficked individuals with accurate information and assistance, empowering them to reclaim their lives again.
